Becoming a Melbourne Rover
To become a Rover Scout you need to be aged 18 to 25 years, be willing to accept the Scout Promise and Law, comply with the Aim and Principles of the Scout Movement. Previous membership of either the Scout or Guide Associations is not a prerequisite.
Becoming a Rover Scout will bring you into contact with lots of different people—in your Crew, Group, District and Region. Rovers are young adults in Scouting that focus on having fun, making new friendships and undertaking service.
Becoming a Melbourne Region Rover
Melbourne Region is comprised of 16 self-governed Rover Crews that socialize with each other as well as hosting individual nights. Programs are constructed each semester and contain activities designed and run by Crew members. These activities uphold the Scouting Values of physical, intellectual, social and spiritual growth.
On top of their Crew's weekly meeting, Crew members sometimes get together over the weekend for Fundraising and Service activities as well as Crew camps. Once a month there is a region meeting which at least two Crew members will attend.
Have a look at the Crew List and find a Crew near you, give them a call and begin your Rovering life.
