Carlton Rover Unit
Carlton Scout Group
Carlton is one of Melbourne’s largest and most diverse Rover Crews, and the closest to the Melbourne CBD - only two minutes from tram routes 1 and 6! Carlton Rovers are a fun and cheerful bunch with strong Scouting spirit and a commitment to making everyone feel welcome. Our Crew is all about supporting Rovers do whatever it is they want to do in Scouting: some are keen hikers, paddlers, skiers, and campers; many are committed to earning their Baden-Powell Scout Award; and many more give service as Leaders, on a range of Scout and Rover committees at a state and national level, and as volunteers for community organisations. The best part about being a Carlton Rover is that you’ll always be experiencing and trying new things—every member brings something fun and unique to our program!

Douttagalla Rover Crew
1st Alphington and 2nd Clifton Hill Scout Groups
Douttagalla Rover Crew re-opened in 2010, by a group of enthusiastic people with a wealth of experience in the scouting world. Our crew is a collective of the Alphington and Clifton Hill Scout Groups. We are a very active crew in a central location at Alphington Scout hall, close to Alphington train station. We meet at 7pm on Monday nights in our spanking new loft den constructed by the crew. The hall is situated near vast parklands, with excellent facilities including outdoor space for campfires. We participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, with a flexible and creative program. Some of the crew’s interests include badge development, allowing opportunities to learn new skills and develop personal growth through varying experiences, joint nights with other sections and crews, games, service to the Scouting community and new and interesting activities and experiences. New members are always welcome to come and join our diverse group. If you are interested please contact the crew and come along!
Thursday 7:30pm
Ettamogah Rover Unit
Bailey Reserve Scout Group
During lockdown we have been exploring a wide range of ideas such as various exercise nights from our very own gymnast crew member, to online social games like Jackbox, I love you Colonel Sanders and Among Us, to comic book reviews. Historically the crew has been into racing at Mudbash, and when possible we would like to work on getting our buggy ready for the next big race. We are all big fans of comedy, with our favourite group movie being The Room by the (in)famous Tommy Wiseau. We like to help out with and participate in group events with the cubs and venturers throughout the year. We're looking forward to seeing you at our next meeting!

We also have a Mudbash car called Tiny Terror which we are currently working on to get back up to racing standards. We catch up on Tuesday nights around 7:30pm and try to do weekend activities as often as possible. We're up for camping, hiking, adventurous activities, anything circus, anything involving food... just name an activity we'll give it a go! We encourage our members to share their skills and interests when we are creating our program, resulting in our members teaching anything from Auslan (sign language) to soccer and martial arts. We love to travel - we went on a Crew Trip to South East Asia in 2015, and most of our members are planning to attend World Moot in Iceland in 2017. We also regularly attend camps both in Victoria and interstate. Hellsgate loves brain teasers and is always up for a challenge. We run activities that lead to badges/awards. Cool activities happen when you imagine.
